The Samsung Galaxy F41 is the first smartphone in Samsung’s new Galaxy F range. This new series seems to overlap with the M series as both are in the mid-range segment.
Indeed, this phone has some apparent overlaps with the Galaxy M31. Perhaps the reason for the new lineup of smartphones is to help Samsung to have an even stronger presence in the affordable mid-range market.
Nevertheless, the Galaxy F41 is quite an excellent device and we’re looking forward to more of the F series phones.

Design and Layout
The Galaxy F41 has a standard unibody plastic design with tapered edges. This phone is quite thick. This is probably due to the gigantic battery on the inside. At 191g, this phone is not heavy and easy to hold.
Similar to Samsung’s M series, the fingerprint sensor is on the rear. The rear triple camera and LED flash is placed in a rectangular housing rather than Samsung’s usual L shaped layout.
The 3.5mm headphone jack, speaker grille and USB Type-C port are located on the bottom. Power buttons and the volume rocker are on the side. The capacitive fingerprint sensor is fast, but Samsung could do some work on it do get it more accurate. Speaker performance is okay for a phone in this price range.
This device feels solid and is aesthetically pleasing, especially with the dual-tone gradient finish. The F41 comes in three colors – fusion black, fusion blue, and fusion green.
Display
The 6.4 inch Super AMOLED display on this phone has a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla 3 on the front. Colours on the screen are vibrant and accurate, making the visual experience a good one for this phone. It’s really no wonder that Samsung phones are known to have great displays.
Battery Life
Samsung has packed a gigantic 6,000mAh battery in this phone. With this kind of power, you will be able to go without charging the phone for two days, if on moderate use and the standard screen refresh rate.
Heavy usage with hours of video and games will still give you a full day. The only downside in this department is that the Galaxy F41 only comes with a 15W charger in the box, which means it seems like an eternity before the phone is fully charged. Fortunately, the large capacity means you do not have to charge it up frequently.
Software and Performance
The Galaxy F41 is fitted with Samsung’s Exynos 9611 octa-core processor and runs on Android 10 One U1 2.0. You can update it to the latest One UI 2.1 as soon as it’s out. The One UI 2.1 comes with the Widevine L1 certification that enables you to watch movies and TV shows on services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime.
It also offers features such as Dark mode, Smart view, Dolby Atmos, Focus Mode and Dual Messenger. The Blue Light Filter feature works to protect your eyes from the glare of the screen.
Considering its mid-range price, It’s a phone that’s fast and has a clean user-interface. Performance is smooth and solid even when used for playing games. This device has 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM. You can always expand storage to 512 GB with a micro SD.
While there are no problems with dad to day tasks, the phone comes with quite a number of preinstalled apps that you will have to uninstall to free up some storage space.
Camera Performance
The Galaxy F41 does not disappoint when it comes to camera performance. On the rear is a triple camera setup which is made up of a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 5MP depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 32MP camera.
Competition
One of the main competitors for the Galaxy F41 is Samsung’s own Galaxy M31, which was launched a little earlier. They are similar in many ways. Both are equipped with a 6000mAh battery and a 64MP camera.
However, the M31 has 25W fast charging while the F41 has 15W fast charging. As for storage, the base variant of the M31 has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Price wise, the M31 will cost you a little bit more than the F41.
Bottom line
The Samsung Galaxy F41 is a great Android Smartphone with a Super AMOLED Display. Although the design is not new as it’s similar to the M series design, the F41 shines with its 6000mAh battery.
If you are looking for a phone with big battery capacity, then this may be the right one for you. However, do remember that you will need quite some time for it to charge up. The camera on this phone is also an excellent one and we’ll go as far to say that it’s way better than most of the competitors in the same range.
Overall, this device is one that is pretty solid and if you’re looking for a mid range phone that performs well, then you should have a look at this phone.
