The HTC 7 Mozart is one of the strongest Windows Phone 7 devices out there and there are quite a few things about it that make it special. If you’ve ever used a Nexus One phone, you probably enjoyed the aluminum unibody design and you will see it on this HTC once again. Another detail that should be mentioned is the 8 megapixel camera and let’s not forget about the possibility to record 720p movies directly from this smartphone. However, the fun doesn’t stop here. The HTC 7 Mozart comes with many impressive features and it is one of the better phones on today’s market.
Design
Features One of the most attractive features offered by the HTC 7 Mozart is the 8 megapixel autofocus camera. If you are trying to snap a great photo and you have control over the lighting conditions, you will be able to do it. However, if you plan on taking pictures during the night or even in a somewhat dark indoor environment, they won’t be as clear as you might expect. Luckily, the Xenon flash will change the situation a little bit and under the right conditions, you will obtain a more than decent result. Recording in 720p is possible, but you might notice some defects and drops in frame rate, which is unfortunate. Browsing the internet with the HTC 7 Mozart is really a breeze and you can easily view HTML websites in their original form and scroll through the pages without any kind of problems. The processor and the 576MB of RAM will offer you a smooth experience so everything is perfect in this department. However, you will have to use the touch screen keyboard and this is a common problem with other phones. Luckily, this isn’t the case here. The screen is large enough to offer the right key size and the phone will recognize your finger easily. Microsoft decided to offer a helping feature for those who have trouble hitting the right keys. The system will anticipate the letters that you are most likely to hit thanks to its embedded dictionary and it will make those keys a little bit larger. The only minor downside when it comes to browsing is the lack of Sliverlight and Flash support.
The name implies special abilities when it comes to music and the phone doesn’t disappoint. You might want to experiment with different headphones since you can fit anything in the 3.5mm headphone jack, but the device itself and the music player work great. The sound is always clear and the notes are very vivid no matter what type of music you are trying to listen. There are quite a few apps you can download and install to the HTC 7 Mozart, depending on what you want to do with it. One of the most popular ones is Bing Maps, a simple, but very useful and effective application that will allow you to search for locations and calculate routes. The phone will load this application very quickly and you will find what you are searching for in no time. One you head out on the road, you can use the GPS, which performs admirably in any circumstance. Office Hub is useful for those who need to view or create Excel and PowerPoint files. Like any other application from the HTC 7 Mozart, it loads rapidly and there are no noticeable problems. Pros and Cons Unfortunately, you will only receive 8 GB of storage space and you will have to deal with it.
